About The Position

As a Security Officer - Mobile Driver Patrol in Anchorage, AK, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. Join Allied Universal as an unarmed patrol officer supporting a government location. You will conduct routine patrols, stay highly visible to help reduce security-related incidents, respond to concerns, and provide clear, professional customer service to staff and visitors. This is a driving post requiring a valid driver’s license, with opportunities to act with integrity, stay agile and reliable, and deliver results through teamwork in a caring culture that puts people first.

Requirements

  • Client requires proof of high school diploma or GED.
  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service at a government location by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities when appropriate.
  • Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols of buildings, parking areas, and perimeter zones to help to deter unwanted activity and identify unusual conditions.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including contacting public agency staff and/or emergency services as needed.
  • Monitor access points and public areas, observe for policy violations, and report hazards, suspicious behavior, and/or maintenance issues through the designated reporting process.
  • Complete routine documentation such as shift activity reports and incident reports, and communicate post updates during shift turnovers.
