As an unarmed Patrol Officer at a fast-paced food and beverage location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, complete routine rounds, stay highly visible to help to deter security-related incidents, and support employees and visitors with clear communication and customer-focused service. You will document activity using a computer and/or tablet while working with an agile, reliable, and innovative Allied Universal team that puts people first and delivers through teamwork and integrity.
Requirements
- Be 21+ years of age.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
Nice To Haves
- A state, county, or city issued security license is preferred.
- Customer service experience is preferred.
- Being comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a food and beverage location.
- Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of buildings, production and warehouse areas, parking lots, and the perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and/or identify hazards or maintenance concerns.
- Monitor access points and help manage the flow of employees, contractors, and visitors by verifying authorization, following sign-in and badge processes, and directing individuals to the appropriate areas.
- Observe and report unusual activity using authorized tools such as radios, phones, and camera systems, and complete accurate reports for incidents, inspections, and daily activity as required by Allied Universal and site policy.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, coordinating with site personnel and/or local responders when needed and providing clear updates to leadership.
