You will monitor and patrol assigned areas, conduct routine rounds, remain visible to help discourage security-related incidents, and support staff, students, and visitors with professional communication and customer service. You will document observations and use a computer and/or tablet to share timely updates. Requirements

• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Being comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• CPR certification is preferred.
• A Guard Card and/or license is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to site personnel, students, and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of buildings, parking areas, athletic fields, and perimeter areas to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or policy violations.
• Monitor access points and visitor entry processes, assist with sign-in procedures, and help maintain orderly movement through entrances and common areas.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and calls for assistance in a calm, problem-solving manner, coordinating notifications and/or support from site leadership and local first responders as directed.
• Document patrols, incidents, and unusual observations in written reports and logs, and communicate pertinent information to Allied Universal supervision and site contacts.
