About The Position
As a Security Officer - Movie Studios Patrol in Los Angeles, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. Join Allied Universal at a fast-paced media and technology location where you will help manage access control, verify credentials, monitor entry activity, and conduct routine patrols to help deter security-related incidents. Requirements
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
Nice To Haves
- Customer service experience is preferred.
- Access control and badge experience is preferred.
- A guard card or license is preferred.
- Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to employees, visitors, vendors, and/or contractors by carrying out site-specific access control procedures, visitor processing, badge verification, and other security-related policies.
- Monitor entry and exit points, check credentials, manage visitor logs, and help to deter unauthorized access to offices, production areas, and other restricted locations.
- Respond to incidents, alarms, access issues, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following post orders and emergency response activities when appropriate.
- Support daily operations at a technology and media-focused location by coordinating with site contacts on deliveries, guest arrivals, after-hours access requests, and other security-related concerns.
- Conduct regular and random patrols around the business and perimeter, including lobbies, parking areas, and access-controlled spaces, as working environments and conditions may vary by location.
