As an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a busy retail location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, conduct routine rounds, stay highly visible to help discourage security-related incidents, and support store teams and guests with clear communication and customer service. Requirements

• A minimum of 1 year of security experience is required.
• A state, county, or city issued security license is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to guests, shoppers, and store associates by following Allied Universal security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols throughout the retail location, including sales floor areas, entrances and exits, parking areas, and the building perimeter; working environments and conditions may vary by site.
• Observe and report suspicious activity, hazards, and policy violations, helping to deter theft and/or disruptive behavior through high-visibility presence and timely communication.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, coordinating with site management and/or local emergency services as needed.
• Complete required documentation such as daily activity logs and incident reports, and communicate relevant information to supervisors and site leadership.
