About The Position

As a Security Officer - Mobile Patrols in Fort Wayne, IN, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries. Join Allied Universal as an unarmed Patrol Officer supporting a dynamic construction location. You will conduct routine foot and vehicle patrols, stay highly visible to help reduce security-related incidents, and provide clear customer service and communication to workers and visitors. This is a driving post requiring a valid driver’s license under AU Driver Policy requirements. Bring an agile, reliable mindset, teamwork, and integrity to every shift.

Requirements

  • Have a minimum of 2+ years of security-related experience.
  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Ability to lift up to 20 lbs is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to clients and visitors by following security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols of the location, including buildings, staging areas, parking areas, and perimeter points; working environments and conditions may vary by site.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including notifying appropriate contacts and documenting actions taken.
  • Monitor access points and help to deter unauthorized entry by checking identification and/or credentials, directing traffic and visitors, and maintaining sign-in and sign-out logs when required.
  • Complete detailed reports of patrol activity, incidents, and observations; communicate relevant updates to site leadership and/or Allied Universal supervision.
