About The Position

As a Security Officer Mobile Patrol in Fredericksburg, VA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. As an unarmed patrol officer supporting a leading tech location, you will conduct routine rounds, stay visible to help to deter security-related incidents, and respond to calls for assistance with calm professionalism. You will document observations, communicate clearly with site teams, and deliver customer service that reflects Allied Universal values of agility, reliability, innovation, teamwork, caring, and integrity.

Requirements

• CPR and/or First Aid certification is preferred and may be completed post hire.
• A Guard Card and/or security-related license is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients and visitors by following Allied Universal security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a tech campus or logistics location.
• Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols of buildings, work areas, parking lots, and perimeter points; document observations and report maintenance or security-related concerns.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner; escalate concerns to site leadership and/or public responders as needed.
• Monitor access control points and security-related systems, including badge entry, visitor check-in, and CCTV; help to deter unauthorized access and/or policy violations.
• Complete detailed daily activity reports and incident documentation; communicate clearly with client staff, vendors, and Allied Universal leadership to support site operations.
