Security Officer - Mobile Patrol

As a Security Officer - Unarmed Mobile Patrol in Newark, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare, and more. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal at a healthcare location, you will monitor assigned areas, conduct routine patrols, and maintain a visible presence that helps to deter security-related incidents. You will respond to alarms and/or unusual activity, support access points, and provide clear communication and strong customer service to staff, patients, and visitors. Requirements
- A minimum of 1+ years of security experience is required.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
Nice To Haves
- Customer service experience is preferred.
- Being comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
- Alarm panel experience is preferred.
- Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to staff, patients, and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a healthcare location.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, coordinating with site leadership and local responders as directed.
- Conduct regular and random foot patrols of buildings, parking areas, entrances, and perimeter areas to help to deter unwanted activity and/or unauthorized access.
- Monitor access points, check identification and/or visitor authorization as required, and assist with directing guests to appropriate destinations while following site procedures.
- Complete required reports such as incident reports, patrol logs, and daily activity reports, and communicate security-related concerns and/or hazards to the appropriate contacts.
