Security Officer - Mobile Patrol Driver
About The Position
As a Security Officer - Mobile Patrol Driver in Akron, OH, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Financial Institutions, and more. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal at a financial services location, you will conduct routine foot and vehicle patrols, stay visible to help discourage security-related incidents, and support associates and visitors with clear communication and customer service. This is a driving post requiring a valid drivers license in line with AU Driver Policy Requirements. You will bring integrity, teamwork, and a people-first mindset to every shift.
Requirements
- A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to staff, visitors, and/or vendors by carrying out security-related procedures, location-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a financial institution location.
- Respond to alarms, disturbances, and/or other incidents in a calm, problem-solving manner, and communicate updates to site leadership and/or Allied Universal management as needed.
- Conduct regular and random patrols of interior areas, exterior grounds, parking areas, and perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity; working environments and conditions may vary by location.
- Monitor access points and public areas, observe for unusual behavior or conditions, and report security-related concerns according to post orders.
- Complete accurate, timely documentation such as shift activity reports and incident reports, and support investigations by preserving observations and relevant details.
