You will patrol and monitor assigned areas, stay visible to help to deter security-related incidents, and assist customers and staff with clear communication and quick support. Requirements

  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to guests and store associates by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Conduct regular and random foot patrols throughout the retail sales floor, entrances, parking areas, and perimeter to help to deter theft and/or other unwanted activity.
  • Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including contacting local law enforcement and/or management as directed by post orders.
  • Monitor entry and exit points, observe for suspicious behavior, and assist with access control practices such as checking doors and/or restricted areas according to site procedures.
  • Complete detailed incident reports and daily activity logs, and communicate noteworthy observations to Allied Universal leadership and onsite management.
