Job Description As a Security Officer - Mobile Patrol Driver in Tewksbury, MA , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls, and more. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer in a busy retail location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, complete routine rounds, and stay highly visible to help reduce security-related incidents. You will assist guests and store teams with clear communication, respond to concerns, and document activity with professionalism. This is a driving post, requiring a valid driver’s license and meeting Allied Universal Driver Policy requirements, while living our values of agility, reliability, innovation, teamwork, and integrity.
Requirements
- A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to tenants, shoppers, and/or store associates by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including completing detailed reports and notifying site leadership and/or emergency services as directed.
- Conduct regular and random patrols of sales floors, entrances, parking areas, and the perimeter to help to deter theft, loitering, and/or other unwanted activity.
- Monitor access points, observe CCTV and/or alarm activity when assigned, and help to maintain orderly customer flow while following posted rules and site procedures.
- Assist with customer concerns such as directions, lost and found inquiries, and de-escalation support, while maintaining a professional presence throughout the location.
