About The Position

As a Security Officer Access Screening Driver in Evansville, IN, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Logistics & Distribution, and more. As an Access Control Officer with Allied Universal at a busy logistics and distribution location, you will monitor entry points, verify credentials, and support smooth site access for employees, visitors, and drivers. This is a driving post requiring a valid driver’s license. Through strong communication, professionalism, and teamwork, you will help promote a secure, welcoming environment while reflecting our agile, reliable, innovative, and people-first values.

Requirements

A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to employees, visitors, drivers, and/or vendors by following site-specific security-related procedures, access protocols, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
Monitor and control entry and exit points for the location, verify credentials, issue visitor passes when required, and document arrivals, departures, and/or deliveries.
Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, and report unusual activity according to Allied Universal and site procedures.
Conduct regular and random patrols around the location, gate areas, loading and receiving zones, and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized access and identify security-related concerns.
Communicate with site contacts, transportation personnel, and/or supervisors regarding access issues, restricted areas, trailer and vehicle movement, and other security-related matters.
