As an unarmed patrol officer supporting a critical utilities location, you will monitor assigned areas, conduct routine foot and vehicle patrols, and stay highly visible to help to deter security-related incidents. You will document observations, communicate clearly with site contacts and/or dispatch, and deliver customer service that reflects Allied Universal values of agility, reliability, innovation, teamwork, and integrity.
Requirements
- Have 1+ years of security experience.
- Be 21+ years of age.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to personnel and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, location-specific policies and, when appropriate, emergency response activities.
- Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols of utility facilities, grounds, perimeter fencing, gates, parking areas and remote assets as assigned; working environments and conditions may vary by location.
- Monitor access points and verify authorization for entry, directing unauthorized persons to the appropriate contact and reporting concerns per post orders.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including alarms, suspicious activity, damaged infrastructure and/or service interruptions, and notify Allied Universal supervision and site contacts as required.
- Complete daily activity logs and incident reports, document maintenance or operational issues observed during patrols, and assist with basic traffic and/or parking control when needed.
