As an Unarmed Patrol Officer in a healthcare location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, conduct routine rounds, remain highly visible to help reduce security-related incidents, and support staff, patients, and visitors with clear communication and customer service. Requirements

  • Applicants must be at least 21 years of age.
  • Client requires proof of a high school diploma or GED.
  • Applicants must be able to work in a hospital environment where vaccines may be present.
  • Applicants must be able to work in a hospital morgue environment.
  • Applicants must be able to restrain individuals in a hospital environment.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to patients, visitors, and staff while carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities within a healthcare location.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of buildings, parking areas, and perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity, identify hazards, and report concerns according to post orders.
  • Monitor access points and public areas, assist with visitor direction as needed, and support staff with security-related requests consistent with facility policies.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including de-escalation and coordinating notifications to appropriate personnel.
  • Complete shift reports and incident documentation, communicate observations to Allied Universal leadership and/or client representatives, and participate in required training and briefings.
