About The Position

Requirements

  • Have at least 2 years of security-related experience.
  • Meet hospital vaccine requirements.
  • Be able to work in a hospital environment that includes the morgue.
  • Provide proof of a high school diploma or GED.
  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • Be able to restrain individuals in a hospital setting.
  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to staff, patients, and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or appropriate emergency response activities within a healthcare location.
  • Respond to incidents, disturbances, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and reporting concerns according to site protocols.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout buildings, entrances, parking areas, and the perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify unusual conditions.
  • Monitor access points and public areas, assist with visitor direction and general inquiries, and report maintenance, access, and/or security-related concerns to the appropriate personnel.
  • Support healthcare personnel during routine operations and unexpected events by following post orders, communicating clearly, and maintaining a professional presence throughout the location.
