About The Position

As a Security Officer - Medical Center Patrol in Cleveland, OH, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare, and more. As an unarmed Patrol Officer in a healthcare location, you will make routine rounds through corridors, entrances, and parking areas to help identify and report security-related concerns, support vaccine-related operations, and assist patients, visitors, and staff with clear, professional service. You will stay visible, respond to requests, document activity, and communicate with site teams. Requirements

Vaccines are required for hospital posts.
Proof of a high school diploma and/or GED is required.
Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

Customer service experience is preferred.
CPR certification is preferred and may be completed post hire.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to patients, visitors, and staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities within a healthcare location.
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including disturbances, medical emergency calls, fire alarms, and other facility alerts, while coordinating with clinical staff and local responders as needed.
Conduct regular and random patrols throughout buildings, corridors, parking areas, and the perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and/or identify hazards or policy concerns. Working environments and conditions may vary by site.
Control access at designated points by monitoring entrances, checking identification and/or visitor authorization, and directing foot traffic in accordance with site procedures.
Observe and report unusual activity, policy violations, and/or maintenance concerns, then complete detailed shift logs and incident reports in a timely manner.
Provide de-escalation support for disruptive behavior using verbal techniques and presence, requesting additional assistance when needed and following post orders.
Assist with lost and found, wayfinding, and visitor inquiries while maintaining a professional demeanor appropriate for a patient-care environment.
Operate security-related systems such as radios, telephones, access control, and video monitoring equipment, and communicate clearly with team members and site personnel.
Support patient watch or special observation assignments as directed, maintaining required documentation and escalation steps per site procedure.
Participate in required briefings and training, and follow Allied Universal and site policies for confidentiality and appropriate handling of sensitive information.
