About The Position

As a Security Officer - Medical Center Patrol - Full Time in New York, NY, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare, and more. As a Patrol Unarmed Officer with Allied Universal in a healthcare location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas to help deter security-related incidents while providing exceptional customer service. Requirements

  • Must have at least 2 years of security-related experience.
  • Must be at least 21 years of age.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Access control or badge experience is preferred.
  • CPR certification is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to clients, staff, and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies within a healthcare environment.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established protocols for healthcare locations.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the facility and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify potential concerns.
  • Monitor entrances, exits, and access points to help to deter unauthorized entry and promote a secure environment for patients, visitors, and staff.
  • Document and report any security-related incidents, hazards, or unusual activities according to site procedures.
  • Assist with emergency response activities as needed, including guiding individuals to designated areas and coordinating with emergency personnel.
  • Maintain a visible presence to help to deter disruptive behavior and provide reassurance to those on the premises.
