As an Unarmed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal at a busy healthcare location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, complete routine rounds, and remain highly visible to help discourage security-related incidents. You will support access control, assist patients, visitors, and staff with clear communication, and document activities using a computer or tablet. Requirements

Have 1+ years of security-related experience.
Be 21+ years of age.
Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

Customer service experience is preferred.
Be comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to patients, visitors, and staff by following Allied Universal security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities within a healthcare location.
Conduct regular and random foot patrols of corridors, entrances, parking areas, and the perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and/or identify hazards to property.
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including disruptive behavior, suspicious activity, and/or requests for assistance from clinical and administrative staff.
Support access control by monitoring entrances, verifying credentials and/or visitor sign-in requirements, and directing visitors to appropriate areas per site policy.
Document patrols, incidents, and security-related observations using written reports and/or electronic reporting tools, and communicate relevant information to site leadership and Allied Universal supervision.
