You will conduct routine patrols and remain highly visible to help reduce security-related incidents, assist staff, patients, and visitors with directions and service needs, and communicate concerns clearly to your team. Requirements

  • Vaccines are required for hospital posts.
  • Proof of a high school diploma or GED is required.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • CPR and/or First Aid certification is preferred and may be completed post hire.
  • A state, county, or city issued security-related license is preferred.
  • Being comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to patients, visitors, and staff by carrying out Allied Universal security-related procedures, location-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Respond to incidents, medical facility alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner while following post orders and escalation protocols.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of hospital buildings, parking areas, entrances, and perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and/or policy violations.
  • Control access at designated points by verifying credentials and/or visitor authorization, monitoring traffic flow, and directing individuals to appropriate departments.
  • Complete security-related reports and logs, communicate pertinent information to site leadership and/or public emergency response partners, and support investigations by documenting observations.
