About The Position

As a Security Officer - Medical Campus Patrol Driver in Cleveland, OH, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare, and more. Join Allied Universal at a leading healthcare location as an unarmed Patrol Officer in a role that supports patient care. You will conduct routine foot and vehicle patrols, remain highly visible to help to deter security-related incidents, assist staff and visitors with directions and service needs, and communicate clearly with the care team. This is a driving post requiring a valid driver’s license, backed by an agile, reliable, innovative team that leads with integrity.

Requirements

  • Hospital vaccines are required.
  • Proof of a high school diploma or GED is required.
  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • CPR certification is preferred and may be completed post hire.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to clients, patients, visitors, and/or staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities in a healthcare location.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including supporting de-escalation efforts and promptly communicating with appropriate personnel.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of interior areas, entrances, corridors, and the exterior perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and/or identify hazards or policy violations.
  • Monitor access points and public areas, provide directions and assistance, and help manage visitor flow in accordance with site-specific requirements.
  • Complete accurate reports and logs, document incidents and/or unusual observations, and communicate relevant information to Allied Universal management and site leadership.
