As an unarmed patrol officer at a tech, media, and telecom location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, complete routine tours, and stay highly visible to help to deter security-related incidents. This is a driving post, requiring a valid driver’s license and meeting AU Driver Policy Requirements. You will deliver clear communication, strong customer service, and accurate reports while supporting a team that values agility, reliability, innovation, and integrity.

Requirements

  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • A guard card/license is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and vendors by following site-specific security-related procedures, policies, and post orders at a tech and telecommunications location.
  • Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols of offices, parking areas, loading and delivery zones, and perimeter points to help to deter unwanted activity and/or identify maintenance or access concerns.
  • Monitor and respond to alarms, access control alerts, and video surveillance activity, and communicate observations to the appropriate contacts per escalation procedures.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including de-escalation, dispatching assistance, and supporting emergency response activities as directed.
  • Complete security-related reports, activity logs, and incident documentation, and relay relevant information during shift turnover and/or to Allied Universal supervision.
