About The Position

As a Security Officer - Medical Campus Patrol Driver in North Chicago, IL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare, and more. As a Patrol Unarmed Officer with Allied Universal, you will help to deter security-related incidents by conducting regular patrols throughout a healthcare location. You will remain visible to visitors and staff, providing exceptional customer service and communication while responding to various situations as they arise. Requirements

  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to clients and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies and/or emergency response activities as needed.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, assisting with healthcare facility needs.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the healthcare location and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and observe for unusual conditions.
  • Monitor entrances, exits, and sensitive areas within the healthcare location to support a secure environment for staff, patients, and visitors.
  • Document incidents and observations according to Allied Universal and site-specific protocols.
  • Communicate professionally with staff, patients, visitors, and emergency personnel as required.
  • Support Allied Universal and client policies while maintaining a visible presence to help to deter potential security-related concerns.
