About The Position

As a Security Officer - Medical Campus Patrol Driver in North Chicago, IL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare, and more. As a Patrol Unarmed Officer with Allied Universal, you will help to deter security-related incidents by conducting regular patrols throughout a healthcare location. You will remain visible to visitors and staff, providing exceptional customer service and communication while responding to various situations as they arise. Requirements

A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to clients and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies and/or emergency response activities as needed.
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, assisting with healthcare facility needs.
Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the healthcare location and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and observe for unusual conditions.
Monitor entrances, exits, and sensitive areas within the healthcare location to support a secure environment for staff, patients, and visitors.
Document incidents and observations according to Allied Universal and site-specific protocols.
Communicate professionally with staff, patients, visitors, and emergency personnel as required.
Support Allied Universal and client policies while maintaining a visible presence to help to deter potential security-related concerns.
