As an Allied Universal Security Professional focused on access control in a healthcare location, you will monitor entry points, check credentials, and help to deter security-related incidents. You will conduct routine patrols, remain visible throughout the facility, and provide outstanding customer service while upholding our values of integrity, teamwork, and caring. Your role will contribute to a secure environment for staff, patients, and visitors, making a meaningful difference every day.

Requirements

At least one year of security-related experience is required.
Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

Access control and badge experience is preferred.
A guard card or license is preferred.
Comfort with using a computer or tablet is preferred.
CPR and/or first aid certification is preferred.

Responsibilities

Assist with access control by verifying identification and credentials of individuals entering the healthcare location, following established procedures and protocols.
Provide customer service to visitors, staff, and patients by addressing questions and directing individuals appropriately while carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies.
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following emergency response activities as required.
Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the healthcare facility and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized access and/or suspicious activity.
Document and report any unusual activity, incidents, or security-related concerns according to site-specific procedures.
Work collaboratively with healthcare staff and Allied Universal team members to support a secure and welcoming environment.
Monitor surveillance equipment and/or alarm systems as required by site protocols.
