As a Security Officer specializing in access control at a manufacturing and industrial location, you will help to deter security-related incidents by monitoring entry points and conducting routine patrols. Your presence will help maintain a secure environment while providing outstanding customer service and communication. Requirements

  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Monitor access points to help control entry and exit of personnel, visitors, and vehicles at the manufacturing and industrial location.
  • Verify credentials and identification of individuals entering the premises to help maintain authorized access.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around the facility and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
  • Observe and report any suspicious activity, hazards, or maintenance issues to the appropriate personnel.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following site-specific procedures.
  • Provide customer service by assisting employees, visitors, and contractors with security-related inquiries and site-specific policies.
  • Document security-related incidents, observations, and activities in daily logs and reports as required by Allied Universal and client site protocols.
  • Participate in emergency response activities when appropriate, including following evacuation or lockdown procedures.
