About The Position

As a Security Officer - Media Patrol Driver in Morrisville, NC, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a leading tech location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, conduct routine rounds, remain visible to help reduce security-related incidents, and support teams with clear, professional communication. This is a driving post requiring a valid driver’s license under AU Driver Policy Requirements. You will represent Allied Universal with an agile, reliable, and innovative approach, putting people first and acting with integrity through teamwork.

Requirements

A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

Alarm panel experience is preferred.
Customer service experience is preferred.
Being comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to clients, employees, and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a technology campus and/or office location.
Conduct regular and random patrols of interior spaces, exterior grounds, parking areas, and perimeter points to help to deter unwanted activity and/or identify hazards or maintenance concerns.
Monitor alarms, cameras, and access points, assist with badge and/or visitor check-in processes, and help to maintain orderly lobby and common-area operations in accordance with post orders.
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, coordinating with site contacts and/or local responders as directed.
Document patrol activity, incidents, and service requests in daily logs and written reports, and communicate noteworthy information to the next shift and site leadership.
