About The Position

As a Security Officer - Media Front Desk Driver in Austin, TX, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. As a Front Desk Security Officer at a fast-paced tech, media, and telecommunications location, you will greet and assist employees and visitors, manage access control and badging, monitor cameras and alarms, and document security-related activity with clear communication. Requirements

  • A minimum of 1+ years of security experience is required.
  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • CPR certification is preferred.
  • Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to guests, employees, and vendors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a tech and/or media office location.
  • Operate the front desk by greeting visitors, verifying identification, issuing temporary credentials, maintaining visitor logs, and directing individuals to the appropriate contact or meeting area.
  • Monitor access points and security-related systems such as phones, radios, alarms, and/or cameras, and report irregular activity according to site procedures.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including documenting observations and escalating concerns to Allied Universal management and/or site leadership.
  • Support building operations by coordinating deliveries and service providers, managing keys and/or access cards per policy, and communicating site updates to personnel as needed.
