Job Description As a Security Officer - Media Facility Patrol - Full Time in Cumming, GA , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. At a fast-paced tech, media, and telecom location, you will support ACCESS_CONTROL by managing entry points, greeting employees and visitors, verifying credentials, issuing badges, and keeping clear access logs. You will complete routine patrols, stay visible to help to deter security-related incidents, and share concerns quickly with site contacts. This is a driving post requiring a valid driver’s license in the job state. Allied Universal is agile, reliable, innovative, and people first.

Requirements

  • A valid driver’s license is required in the state where the job is located.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a tech, media, and/or telecom location.
  • Control access to the facility by verifying identification, confirming authorization, issuing visitor instructions, and directing authorized personnel to appropriate areas.
  • Monitor entry and exit points, gates, and/or turnstiles to help to deter unauthorized access, tailgating, and/or suspicious activity.
  • Maintain accurate logs of visitors, contractors, deliveries, and incidents, and promptly communicate unusual activity through established reporting channels.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, coordinating with site contacts and/or emergency services as directed by post orders.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of interior areas, exterior grounds, and the perimeter, noting and reporting security-related concerns, hazards, and/or policy violations.
  • Operate and monitor access control and alarm systems, CCTV, and/or radios, and report equipment issues according to site procedures.
  • Support client operations by managing contractor and vendor check-in, confirming work authorizations, and enforcing site rules for restricted areas and sensitive spaces.
