About The Position

As a Security Officer - Media Entry Screener in Lexington, KY, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. As a Screener with Allied Universal in a dynamic tech and media environment, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, helping to deter security-related incidents while providing a visible presence. You will interact with employees and visitors, conduct routine patrols, and deliver exceptional customer service. Requirements

  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Access control or badge experience is preferred.
  • CPR or first aid certification is preferred.
  • Experience in loss prevention is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service by following security-related procedures and site-specific policies, including emergency response activities as appropriate.
  • Screen individuals entering the location by verifying identification, credentials, and/or authorization to access the premises.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating as needed according to site protocols.
  • Monitor entry and exit points to help to deter unauthorized access and maintain a secure environment.
  • Communicate clearly and professionally with visitors, employees, and/or contractors, providing information and assistance as needed.
  • Document and report any irregularities, incidents, or unusual activities according to Allied Universal and client site guidelines.
  • Collaborate with other Allied Universal personnel and site staff to support overall security-related operations at the location.
