You will remain highly visible, conduct routine patrols of assigned areas as needed, document and communicate security-related observations, and assist with loss prevention awareness. Requirements

Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to employees, contractors, visitors, and delivery drivers at a tech and/or media and/or telecom location by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
Screen and verify access for individuals, vehicles, and packages in accordance with site screening protocols, including checking identification, validating authorization, and directing traffic flow as needed.
Support entry and exit operations by monitoring queues, managing visitor processing, and communicating expectations to reduce delays and support an orderly screening process.
Monitor assigned screening area for unusual activity and conditions that may help to deter unauthorized access, theft, and/or policy violations, and report concerns per post orders.
Operate screening and inspection tools and/or systems as assigned, and follow escalation steps when prohibited items, suspicious packages, and/or policy exceptions are identified.
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including medical events, disturbances, alarms, and/or evacuation notifications as directed by site procedures.
Complete required logs and reports such as incident reports, screening records, and activity documentation in a timely manner, using site and Allied Universal systems as assigned.
Coordinate with site contacts and local responders as needed, and communicate observations and incident details clearly using radio, phone, and/or written formats.
Perform additional duties related to access control, perimeter checks near entry points, and other site-specific assignments as directed by post orders.
