Job Description As a Security Officer - Entry Screener in Shreveport, LA , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Utilities, and more. Join Allied Universal at a utilities location as a Screener, helping to support security-related operations at key entry points. You will greet employees and visitors, screen personnel and items, verify credentials, and communicate clearly with site teams to help maintain orderly access. You will stay alert to unusual activity, document observations, and provide a professional customer service experience, while working with an agile, reliable, innovative team that puts people first and acts with integrity. Requirements

  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to site employees, contractors, and visitors by following Allied Universal security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Screen and verify access for personnel and deliveries at entry points, including checking identification, confirming authorization, and directing visitors to the proper check-in process.
  • Monitor and control facility access systems, including gates, doors, badges, and visitor logs, and report irregularities according to site procedures.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including coordinating notifications and documenting actions taken.
  • Complete required reports and logs, communicate pass-down information between shifts, and support utility location operations by observing and reporting conditions that may help to deter unauthorized access.
