About The Position

As a Security Officer - Media Campus Patrols in Richmond, VA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. As a Patrol Unarmed Officer with Allied Universal, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas in a dynamic tech and media environment. Your presence helps to deter security-related incidents while you deliver exceptional customer service and communication. You will play a key role in maintaining a welcoming atmosphere, embodying our values of agility, reliability, and integrity, and contributing to a culture that puts people first through teamwork and care.

Requirements

A valid guard card or license is preferred.
CPR and First Aid certification is preferred.
Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner.
Conduct regular and random patrols around the location and its perimeter, helping to deter unauthorized activity.
Observe and report any unusual activity or security-related concerns to the appropriate personnel.
Assist visitors and employees with directions and information as needed.
Work collaboratively with Allied Universal team members to maintain a secure environment at the location.
Follow all post orders and instructions provided by Allied Universal and site management.
Complete required reports and documentation in a timely and accurate manner.
