About The Position

As a Security Officer - Marina Patrol in Columbus, OH, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Chemical/Petrochemical, and more. As an unarmed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal at a chemical and petrochemical location, you will conduct routine foot and/or vehicle patrols, remain highly visible to help to deter security-related incidents, and respond to calls for assistance. You will document observations, support access control and visitor guidance, and communicate clearly with site teams. Requirements

  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a chemical and/or petrochemical location.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including reporting hazards, spills, or unusual conditions to site contacts per post orders.
  • Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of buildings, production areas, and perimeter points, helping to deter unauthorized access and/or suspicious activity.
  • Monitor access control points and verify identification, visitor logs, and delivery documentation in accordance with site-specific requirements and Allied Universal guidelines.
  • Complete routine reports and maintain accurate documentation of patrols, incidents, and security-related observations, escalating concerns through the appropriate chain of command.
