Security Officer - Marina Patrol

As a Security Officer - Marina Patrol in Ontario, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls, and more. As an unarmed patrol officer in a busy retail and mall location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, complete routine rounds, stay highly visible to help to deter security-related incidents, and support store teams and guests with clear communication and service. You will document observations, respond to concerns, and work as part of an agile, reliable, and innovative Allied Universal team that puts people first and acts with integrity.
Requirements
- MUST HAVE VALID AND CURRENT CA. GUARD CARD & TRAINING CERTIFICATES!
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
Nice To Haves
- CPR and/or First Aid certification is preferred.
- A Guard Card and/or security license is preferred.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to clients and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities in a retail and mall location.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including assisting with de-escalation and coordinating with on-site management and/or first responders as needed.
- Conduct regular and random foot patrols throughout retail areas, common spaces, back-of-house corridors, and the perimeter to help to deter policy violations and/or unauthorized activity.
- Monitor access points and observe customer and associate activity for unusual behavior, then document and report concerns per post orders and Allied Universal guidelines.
- Complete detailed reports for incidents, patrol activities, and service calls, and communicate timely updates to supervisors and client representatives.
