As an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a premier retail and mall location, you will conduct routine patrols, stay highly visible to help reduce security-related incidents, and assist shoppers and store teams with clear communication and customer service. This is a driving post requiring a valid driver’s license in the job state. Requirements

  • A valid driver’s license is required in the state where the job is located.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Comfortable Using Computer or Tablet is preferred.
  • Loss Prevention is preferred.
  • Customer Service Experience is preferred.
  • State, County, or City Issued Security License is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to guests and store associates by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including de-escalating conflicts and coordinating with store leadership and/or local authorities as needed.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the retail sales floor, stock areas, entrances and exterior perimeter to help to deter theft, damage and/or unauthorized access.
  • Monitor cameras, alarms and access points, report suspicious activity, and complete accurate incident reports, patrol logs and other required documentation.
  • Assist with loss prevention support such as observing and reporting concealment behavior, supporting receipt checks when directed by site policy, and maintaining a professional presence during peak shopping periods.
