About The Position

As a Security Officer - Manufacturing in The Dalles, OR, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. As an Allied Universal Security Officer supporting a high-tech data center location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, complete routine patrols, and stay highly visible to help to deter security-related incidents. You will greet and assist employees, contractors, and visitors, communicate clearly with site teams, and document observations with strong attention to detail. Requirements

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients at a high-traffic technology facility by following established security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Control access to restricted areas by verifying identification and/or access credentials, processing visitors and vendors, and directing personnel to appropriate check-in locations.
• Monitor alarms, cameras, and other security-related systems, document observations, and communicate issues to the appropriate contacts per post orders.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including coordinating with site leadership and public emergency services as needed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of building interiors, loading and delivery areas, and the perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify maintenance and/or operational concerns.
