About The Position
As a Security Officer - Manufacturing Patrol - Day Shifts in Holbrook, NY, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Manufacturing & Industrial, and more. As an unarmed Patrol Officer at a busy manufacturing and industrial location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, conduct routine rounds, and stay highly visible to help to deter security-related incidents. You will support access control, document observations, and communicate clearly with site leaders, employees, and visitors while delivering outstanding customer service. Requirements
- The client requires proof of a high school diploma and/or GED.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to onsite personnel, contractors, and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities within a manufacturing and industrial location.
- Conduct regular and random patrols of production areas, warehouses, loading docks, parking areas, and the facility perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and identify maintenance or environmental concerns to report.
- Monitor access points and vehicle traffic, verify authorization for entry, and assist with employee and visitor check-in processes in accordance with site procedures.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including initiating notifications, documenting events, and coordinating with onsite management and/or emergency services as needed.
- Complete routine reports and logs, including patrol activity, access control activity, and incident documentation, and communicate relevant updates to Allied Universal supervision and site contacts.
