About The Position

As a Security Officer - Manufacturing Patrol Specialist in Newberry, SC, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Manufacturing & Industrial, and more. As a Patrol Unarmed Officer with Allied Universal, you will monitor and patrol assigned manufacturing and industrial locations, remaining visible to help to deter security-related incidents. You will conduct routine patrols, support access control, and provide outstanding customer service while interacting with employees and visitors. Requirements

  • Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Access control or badge experience is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies, and respond to emergency situations as appropriate.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, assisting individuals as needed at the location.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around the manufacturing and industrial facility and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or access.
  • Monitor for unusual activity or security-related hazards and promptly report findings to the appropriate personnel.
  • Document observations and incidents according to Allied Universal procedures, maintaining accurate records related to patrols and events.
  • Support access control by verifying credentials and/or authorizations of individuals entering restricted areas within the facility.
  • Communicate professionally with staff, visitors, and/or contractors to provide assistance and information as needed.
