Job Description As a Security Officer - Manufacturing - Patrol Driver in Waterloo, IA , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Manufacturing & Industrial, and more. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a busy manufacturing and industrial location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, conduct routine rounds, and stay highly visible to help reduce security-related incidents. You will use clear communication and strong customer service to support employees, visitors, and operations, while documenting observations and responding to concerns. This is a driving post requiring a valid driver’s license, backed by Allied Universal’s agile, reliable, innovative, people-first culture.

Requirements

• Proof of a high school diploma or equivalent is required as specified by the client.
• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to personnel and visitors by following security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities at an industrial location.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including documenting observations and reporting concerns to site leadership and/or Allied Universal management.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of production areas, warehouses, parking areas, and the perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and identify unusual conditions.
• Monitor access points and verify authorized entry, including checking credentials, directing traffic flow, and/or coordinating visitor processing per site requirements.
• Complete routine reports and logs, communicate updates during shift transitions, and support security-related inspections such as checking doors, gates, and loading areas for irregularities.
