About The Position

As a Security Officer - Manufacturing Patrol Driver in Durham, NC, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Manufacturing & Industrial, and more. As a Patrol Unarmed Officer at a manufacturing and industrial location, you will monitor and patrol designated areas to help to deter security-related incidents and support a secure environment. This is a driving post, requiring you to operate vehicles during patrols. Requirements

• At least 2 years of security-related experience is required.
• At least 1 year of armed security-related experience, law enforcement experience, or military experience is required.
• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and responding to emergency situations as appropriate.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner to support a secure environment.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the manufacturing and industrial location, including the business premises and perimeter, to help to deter unwanted activity.
• Observe and report any suspicious activity or security-related incidents to Allied Universal management and/or client representatives.
• Assist with access control by monitoring entrances and exits, verifying credentials, and maintaining visitor logs as required by site policies.
• Support emergency response efforts by following site protocols and providing information to first responders as needed.
• Maintain a visible presence throughout the location to help to deter unauthorized activity and provide reassurance to employees and visitors.
