As an Access Control Officer with Allied Universal at a leading manufacturing and industrial location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, helping to deter security-related incidents while fostering a welcoming atmosphere. Requirements

  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Monitor and control access to the location, verifying credentials and granting entry to authorized personnel, visitors, and vehicles as required.
  • Provide customer service by assisting employees, contractors, and visitors with access-related inquiries and directions in a professional manner.
  • Carry out security-related procedures and follow site-specific policies for access control, including the use of electronic systems or manual logs as appropriate for the environment.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations involving access control in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating when necessary according to established protocols.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of the facility and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized access and report any suspicious activity or potential security-related concerns.
  • Collaborate with manufacturing and industrial staff to maintain awareness of operational schedules, shift changes, and high-traffic periods to support access control measures.
  • Assist Allied Universal management and site leadership with incident reporting, documentation, and emergency response activities as needed.
