Job Description As a Security Officer - Mall Roving Patrol in Orlando, FL , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls, and more. As an unarmed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal at a high-end retail location, you will complete routine patrols of sales floors, entrances, and back-of-house areas, staying visible to help to deter security-related concerns. You will greet shoppers and team members with a customer-first approach, respond to incidents, and communicate clearly with store leadership. Requirements

Have 1+ years of security-related experience.
Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to clients, guests, and store associates by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including medical calls, fire alarms, disorderly conduct, and suspected theft.
Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the retail location, including sales floor, fitting areas, stock areas, receiving corridors, and exterior perimeter as applicable. Working environments and conditions may vary by site.
Help to deter theft and other unwanted activity through visible presence, professional engagement, and timely reporting of suspicious behavior.
Monitor alarms, cameras, and other security-related systems as assigned, and communicate observed concerns to store leadership and Allied Universal supervision.
Control access to back-of-house areas and assist with maintaining orderly entry and exit for employees, vendors, and deliveries in accordance with site procedures.
Complete detailed reports and required documentation for incidents, patrol activity, and policy violations, and preserve observations for follow-up review.
Provide directions and assistance to shoppers, manage minor conflicts with customer-service-focused de-escalation, and support a positive retail experience.
Coordinate with local law enforcement and/or emergency responders when requested, and assist with crowd and scene management until the situation is resolved.
Participate in shift briefings, follow post orders, and communicate clearly via radio and/or phone to support team awareness and response.
