About The Position

As a Security Officer - Mall Patrol in Fort Lauderdale, AL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls, and more. As a Patrol Unarmed Officer with Allied Universal, you will monitor and patrol retail and mall locations, helping to deter security-related incidents while remaining highly visible and approachable. Your role includes conducting routine patrols, providing outstanding customer service, and communicating clearly with visitors and staff. Requirements

Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to clients and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies within a retail or mall environment.
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established protocols.
Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the retail location and its perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and identify any potential concerns.
Monitor entrances, exits, and common areas to help to deter unauthorized access or suspicious behavior.
Assist with crowd control and wayfinding as needed during busy periods or special events within the location.
Document and report any security-related incidents, hazards, or unusual observations to the appropriate personnel.
Collaborate with Allied Universal team members and location management to address security-related needs and support a positive customer experience.
