About The Position

As a Security Officer - Mall Patrol Team in Bethesda, MD, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls, and more. As a Patrol Unarmed Officer with Allied Universal at a bustling retail and mall location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, helping to deter security-related incidents and providing exceptional customer service. Your presence and communication skills will help create a welcoming environment for visitors and staff. This is a driving post, so you will be responsible for mobile patrols as part of your duties while upholding Allied Universal's values of integrity, teamwork, and innovation.

Requirements

At least 6 months of security-related experience is required.
Applicants must be at least 21 years of age.
A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

Be comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
Alarm panel experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities within the retail or mall location.
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, maintaining professionalism at all times.
Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the retail or mall premises and its perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and promote a secure environment.
Observe for signs of suspicious activity and/or hazards during patrols and report findings according to established protocols.
Assist visitors, tenants, and employees with directions or information as needed, while maintaining a visible presence within the location.
Support access control measures by monitoring entrances, exits, and/or restricted areas as required by site-specific policies.
Document and report incidents, observations, and/or any unusual occurrences in accordance with company and client procedures.
