Job Description As a Security Officer - Mall Patrol Foot in Santa Clara, CA , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls, and more. As a Patrol Unarmed Officer with Allied Universal, you will monitor and patrol retail and mall locations, helping to deter security-related incidents while creating a welcoming atmosphere for guests and tenants. You will conduct routine patrols, remain highly visible, and provide outstanding customer service and communication. Requirements

At least 1 year of security-related experience is required.
Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

Customer service experience is preferred.
Ability to lift more than 20 lbs is preferred.
Access control or badge experience is preferred.
A guard card or license is preferred.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies, and respond to emergency situations as appropriate.
Respond to incidents and critical situations at the location in a calm, problem-solving manner.
Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the retail or mall property and its perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and identify potential issues.
Observe and report any suspicious or unusual activity, and communicate findings to Allied Universal management and/or site representatives as required.
Support access control measures by monitoring entrances and exits, assisting visitors and tenants as needed, and verifying credentials when necessary.
Assist in crowd management during busy periods or special events, helping to maintain orderly conduct within the location.
Work collaboratively with Allied Universal team members and site personnel to address concerns and provide a visible security-related presence throughout the property.
