About The Position

As a Security Officer - Mall Foot Patrol in New York, NY, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls, and more. As a Patrol Unarmed Officer with Allied Universal, you will monitor and patrol retail and mall locations, helping to deter security-related incidents and providing a visible presence. You will interact with visitors and tenants, delivering exceptional customer service and clear communication. Requirements

Must be at least 21 years of age.
Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

CPR certification is preferred.
Customer service experience is preferred.
A guard card or license is preferred.
CPR and first aid are preferred.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to clients and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies, including emergency response activities when appropriate.
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm and problem-solving manner within the retail or mall environment.
Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the retail location and its perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and/or identify potential concerns.
Observe and report any unusual activity, property damage, or security-related incidents in accordance with established protocols.
Assist with access control by monitoring entrances and exits to help to deter unauthorized entry.
Collaborate with Allied Universal management and site leadership to address security-related needs and/or concerns as they arise.
Maintain a visible presence to help to deter theft, vandalism, and/or disruptive behavior within the retail or mall setting.
