As an unarmed patrol officer in a retail location, you will conduct routine interior and exterior rounds, stay visible to help reduce security-related incidents, and support a welcoming shopping experience through strong customer service and clear communication. This is a driving post, requiring a valid driver’s license in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy. Bring an agile, reliable, and innovative mindset, acting with integrity and teamwork on every shift.

Requirements

A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to clients and guests by following Allied Universal security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the retail location, sales floor, stock areas, parking areas, and perimeter to help to reduce the likelihood of theft, damage, and other unwanted activity.
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including trespassing, disorderly conduct, and suspected shoplifting, and report activity per post orders.
Monitor entrances, exits, and key interior areas, assist with access control as directed, and maintain a visible presence while interacting professionally with customers and store associates.
Complete required documentation such as patrol logs, incident reports, and shift activity reports, and communicate notable conditions to site leadership and/or law enforcement when needed.
