About The Position

As a Security Officer - Mall Patrol Driver in Columbia, MO, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls, and more. As an unarmed, driving patrol officer at a busy retail location, you will conduct routine vehicle and foot patrols, maintain a visible presence to help to deter security-related incidents, and support store teams and guests with professional customer service and clear communication. You will respond to concerns, document activity, and work with teammates to keep operations running smoothly. Requirements

A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to clients and guests by following Allied Universal security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating concerns through established communication channels.
Conduct regular and random patrols throughout retail sales floors, entrances, parking areas, and the perimeter as assigned. Working environments and conditions may vary by location.
Monitor foot traffic and activity to help to deter theft, loitering, and other unwanted behavior, and report suspicious activity per site procedures.
Perform access control at assigned doors and receiving areas by verifying credentials, directing visitors, and documenting entries and/or exits as required.
Provide a visible presence near high-traffic and high-risk areas, offering assistance to customers and staff while watching for policy violations.
Support loss prevention and store leadership by observing and reporting incidents, preserving the scene when needed, and completing required incident documentation.
Interact with law enforcement and/or emergency responders as directed, providing clear information and assisting with crowd management when needed.
Operate and monitor security-related systems such as CCTV and radios when assigned, and report equipment issues promptly.
Complete routine reports, shift logs, and patrol documentation with accurate details in accordance with site requirements.
