About The Position
As a Security Officer Mall Center Patrol in Newport Beach, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls, and more. Join Allied Universal as an unarmed patrol officer at a busy retail and mall location, where you will conduct routine foot and vehicle patrols, stay highly visible to help to deter security-related incidents, and respond to calls for assistance with professionalism and care. This is a driving post requiring a valid driver’s license and meeting AU Driver Policy Requirements, and it is ideal for someone who enjoys teamwork, clear communication, and customer-focused service. Requirements
- A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
Nice To Haves
- CPR Certification is preferred.
- Handcuffs/Pepper Spray/Baton is preferred.
- CPR/First Aid is preferred.
- Lift More Than 20 lbs is preferred.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to tenants, guests, and staff by following site-specific security-related procedures, policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
- Conduct regular and random foot patrols throughout retail common areas, service corridors, and exterior perimeters to help to deter unwanted activity and/or policy violations.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including assisting with crowd management, disputes, and medical situations until help arrives.
- Monitor access points, loading and/or receiving areas, and back-of-house spaces; verify credentials when required and report suspicious or unauthorized activity.
- Complete detailed reports and logs for patrols, incidents, and maintenance or hazard observations, and communicate updates to Allied Universal leadership and/or site contacts.
