Learn more: aus.com/earnmore. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a busy retail location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas to help create a welcoming environment for customers and associates. You will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help reduce security-related incidents, and respond to concerns with clear communication and outstanding customer service. Requirements

Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.

Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to clients and guests by following security-related procedures, location-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including disputes, suspicious activity, and medical situations, and request additional assistance when needed.
Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the retail sales floor, entrances, loading and receiving areas, parking lots, and perimeter to help to deter theft and/or disruptive behavior.
Monitor customer traffic patterns and high-risk areas, maintain a visible presence, and report observed security-related concerns to site leadership.
Control access to back-of-house areas by verifying identification and/or authorization for associates, vendors, and contractors.
Observe and report maintenance hazards, damaged doors or locks, lighting issues, and other conditions that may impact operations, and assist with directing customers away from restricted areas when required.
Complete required reports such as incident reports, shift logs, and activity documentation in a clear and timely manner.
