As a Security Officer - Mall Access Control in Saint George, UT , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls, and more. As an Access Control Officer with Allied Universal in a retail environment, you will monitor entrances and exits, conduct regular patrols throughout the location, and help to deter security-related incidents. You will provide exceptional customer service while maintaining a visible presence to support a secure and welcoming atmosphere. Requirements
- A guard card or license is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service by following security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and responding to emergency situations when appropriate.
- Monitor access points to help to deter unauthorized entry and verify credentials of individuals entering or exiting the location.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner.
- Conduct regular and random patrols around the location and its perimeter to help to deter suspicious activity and identify potential concerns.
- Document and report any security-related incidents, hazards, or unusual occurrences according to Allied Universal protocols.
- Communicate clearly and professionally with visitors, employees, and management while upholding site policies.
- Assist in managing crowd control and/or line management during peak times as required by site operations.
- Support Allied Universal and client management in implementing site-specific security-related procedures and protocols.
